Truck fridge

No power in the parking lot where I park the truck, which is a 15 minute drive from my house. I can leave it in the tractor over night and come home, but for anything longer I don't want to leave the inverter running and draining the batteries.

This is what is I use to bring food to fridge that stays in truck.

All of my food is purchased and prepared at home due to food allergies and diet, so this method works best for me. It's easier to bring the fridge (I call it a cooler since it's about that size) home and pack it full there. Plugs in to the AC at home, the DC in my pickup and the AC from my inverter in the tractor. 90% of the weight is from the food, so for me it wouldn't change my situation.

Part of the reason I went with THAT size is due to the fact that I only have a 48" sleeper (mid roof) and the dimensions of this fridge matched the space I had (it fits where a 14" cabinet used to be). I'm considering getting a second one, maybe a little smaller, to use exclusively as a freezer. But that will wait until I've got enough free cash/time to remodel the inside of the sleeper (my own labor and custom design, relatively low cost, but not a priority right now).
