There's a big plug on the underside the head where the intake manifold is. Make sure it isn't missing. Talk to forum member Running Rough about getting the file straightened out. As for the EGR cooler on the 870, you can actually completely remove it and freeze plug the block and get the thermostat housing without the elbow. The exhaust manifold get another rear section and flip it to the front and tap it for the exhaust pressure sensor tube. Keeps the vgt working properly.
