deciphering parameters

Good evening folks, so I've jumped off the deep end MMM2.0 stated, slowly been researching from various resources on reprogramming. question is mmm2.0 has good information but its for 871 mostly. how can i decode the parameters in a cm2350a? I'm assuming 2450s will be another ballgame since engineers are trying their dangest to keep people lost.

I comprehend all of it but there's some parameters I just can't seem to decode. yes, I know not all are meant to be changed but I would like to know what I'm reading, the comments help somewhat but not all. Next, most of the vehicles that come through here have already been deleted, I copy ecm data (for research purposes only) so I can compare to others to see what has been adjusted and how.

I did find one that had the turbospeed sensor turned off but I can't say anything about it cause wouldn't it make me sound like I'm up to no good? "Hey sir I copied your ecm data so I can play with it" most O/O first thought would be "what is he doing in my ecm!!!! he's screwing with my truck" How can I find what the original settings were before they were reprogrammed?.

when it comes to reprogramming it disgusts me I have to trust someone in a different timezone to "reprogram" it because if something goes wrong all they do is disconnect and wash their hands and they charge a buttload of money just to flash some kind of file they acquired from another source. Like I've read I do believe that each truck is different and each has to be programmed differently. all this is why I've jumped in head first into learning, so far I've had countless hours and many nights without sleep learning this stuff and still most times i feel lost.

I joined a mumbla session once but its hard to keep working and talk to the man himself, Rawze. whatever literature i can find i put on acrobate and let it read it to me, hate the part when they read all the symbols dash dash dash dash dash.... lol. well, sorry started off as a question post ended up being a rant.
