If its the lower shoe wearing more than the top, check your S-cam bushings. I've seen plenty trucks/trailers with S-cam bushings wore slap out, which will begin to wear the shoes unevenly. Typically it's the bottom half thats dragging. If you have someone in the truck operating the brakes, you should be able to see the bottom make contact before the top. You'll also tend to see a larger gap between the shoe/drum up top than the bottom.
