No, you don't have to run the threads until there is no more...typically it will crack before the threads would not be visible. That style of fitting has a tapered thread, hence why it progressively takes more force fairly early on, to make a revolution. I add some thread sealant before installing, then snug down (not gorilla tighten) until it's pointed in the proper direction. | |||
