I don't have a Davco fuel filter.
Snailexpress & I are going to try a couple of things & some test drives today, if that doesn't solve my issue, can someone please send me DRISX's contact info?

Fuel pressure test results as follows:
Specs from Insite: Results in Bold
Results are from Insite -> Data Monitor/Logger
Test gauges with CompuLink connectors not available

Cranking: greater than 100 psi at 130 RPM for at least 10 seconds: Result; 203psi @ 170 RPM cranking
Low idle: 230 to 274 psi @ 600 RPM: Result; 261-262 psi @ 600 RPM
High idle: 275 to 325 psi @ 1800 RPM: Result; 285-287 psi @ 1800 PRM

Not Insite specific, but Other noted Result;
275 psi @ 1200 RPM
285 psi @ 1540 RPM
(where the "knock" is most crisp/sharp)

So notes are;
I double the min pressure cranking at 70 extra RPM
I am closer to the high end of the scale at 600 RPM
I am closer to the low end of the scale at 1800 RPM
I have virtually no increase in rail fuel pressure from 1540 to 1800 RPM

Looks pretty typical to me,.. but then again,.. a pressure gauge will not tell you if you have air in the system, etc.

I found a rub wear in the suction line, not horrible but it's not going to heal itself so I replaced the suction line from the engine to the T to the fuel tanks and isolated each fuel tank.
Snailexpress and I went for a test drive, no change in results.
Truck does smoke on a throttle snap from dead idle. Snail climbed on top of his trailer and I did a couple snaps and he says it smells like too much fuel and is black when you're up close and personal...
So we went for steak, beer, and vodka!
Guess I get to meet DRISX on Monday...talked to him today, and he has some actuators so well try that, as well as sight glass the suction line to confirm weather that's the issue. Either way I should have a direction Monday...repair & hope for a reload, or head for home,

I wish you well Mr Hammerhead, and hope your problem is solved.

I know, I talk too much...I can't help it, I don't have any friends!

Not solved just yet, beer & BBQ interrupted us...
It's been a bit of a head scratcher, I can normally run an overhead in about 2 beer, but I know I shouldn't attempt two after five, I'll run it in the morning.
But here's a teaser
