RE: EGR fault code check the egr temp sensor is not unplugged or shorted high?. I have also seen that code when the egr cooler was not doing its job properly. - Especially true of After-market egr coolers. They are notorious for not cooling the exhaust gas properly, and it can lead to a destroyed enigne. I took off the egr valve today These are picture of valve opening It seems exhaust gas never passed the valve but there are signs of coolant Even at the bottom of valve was some fluid And solid matter like mud or something like that | |||

RE: EGR fault code looks like no egr gas has gone through that thing in a long time. Also, it is normal to have mud in it if that is the case,.. condensation (not coolant) likes to build up like mad in that circuit if it has been blocked off.
