RE: Fault Code: 1145 Some new developments on my problem. As soon as I ordered a new injector $1400 +shipping, watched all the videos and studied all the repair guides, the problem disappeared. Honestly, when I got up in the morning to do my last 600 miles home, the fault was gone. It never reappeared during this trip and so far so good. For the record keeping and to help the next guy, I have to say a few things though: As mentioned here before by kozakvod, I too had a considerably low diesel level in my Devco filter - below the collar line. I thought nothing of it initially because it happened before, and it always would go up in time. But, what caught my attention was the fact that my fault happened the very next morning after I did the whole service. I checked my Devco filter and the fuel level is where it should be now. Very weird.... My conclusion is that the lines connecting to Devco must have been hit/moved/repositioned by me during the installation and leaking air. The connecting lines there on Volvo are very flimsy. But, there was no visible leak anywhere that would indicate a problem. I did however assured that they were properly tight ( by wiggling them, I know they are sh$t !) the day before the code went away. So my guess is that a bad air was getting into the system/injector, even though the pump should not allow any air in. Or something like that. Nevertheless, I would strongly recommend making sure that there is no bad air coming into your fuel lines before opening the engine and ripping the injector out. Somehow all this things matter for the injector ECM test. All this "Mechanical System Not Responding or Out of Adjustment" is very broad and it could be just air. RE: Fault Code: 1145 1145 fault is back on..... It takes approximately 25-30 engine hours for it to come back on after erasing it. It becomes inactive after some time, but nevertheless the problem is obviously there. No, it is not a bad air coming in as speculated before, and neither it is a bad fuel as I refueled a few times already. I put fuel additive today ( boost and injector cleaner the same as Rawze uses), but I never believed in the magic of those potions, and I am getting ready to put a new injector in. Will update on the progress.... Bugger.... | |||

RE: Fault Code: 1145 What is really troubling is that the fault count is only 1 and always inactive when I delete it. If the injector was malfunctioning, wouldn't there be more than one count and active. Something is not right here. Pls feel free to comment if you have any thoughts. | |||

RE: Fault Code: 1145 Sorry, I should have mentioned that. I did the fuel rail leak test twice as per the video, and there was no leak in 60 seconds at all. I also did this fancy injector fuel pressure test and all six injectors passed. | |||

I'm not gonna say this is impossible, but it's highly unlikely. I think your doing something wrong?. Even a healthy system will leak something. I've never seen one not drop a single psi. | |||

I have seen an engine or 2 that surprised me, so I can only take someone at their word I suppose.
