2006 550isx/ leak test video added
I have a 2006 isx that has a vibration at higher rpm, I can really feel it 1300+. I always thought it was in the trans / clutch.

The other day I had the clutch changed, when they dropped trans and took clutch out the pressure plate springs were broke out. And piolt bearing was bad.

I had them start it with no trans and the engine had a vibration at higher rpm. I did this to rule out trans back.

The truck is night and day smoother with the new clutch but still has a vibration at higher rpm and I don't like it.

I had a cylinder cut out test done and a pressure test done and it passed.

I was going to do a overhead on it but haven't yet.

Anyone have any ideas on what it could be.

It runs cool temp wise , has 40 psi oil going down road and around 20psi at idle

It could also be too low of a final crank angle. Not saying that is your problem, but it is a possibility.

RE: 2006 550isx
Max boost is around 32, it doesn't have a Pyro gauge, but has 100 other gauges lol.

I took the valve cover off just to see if anything jumped out at me. The cam didn't have any pitting or scratches and looked pretty good for a million miles.

I'm going to use a feller gauge and check what the valves are set at. There is markings to were someone has done a overhead before.

Two important things;
1-Install a pyro at your earliest opportunity. You don't really know what's going on without one.
2-If YOU don't know when the last overhead adjustment was done, YOU need to do it ASAP. They aren't that hard to do, and there is a link to an instructional video by Rawze in the VIDEO button at the top of the screen.

RE: 2006 550isx
So I turned it to A, and 6 was loose,so I turned again to A and 1 is loose but if you try to put a feeler gauge under were u adjust it's to tight.

So I turned motor over again and again and made sure 1 was loose to do adjustment and again the correct feeler gauge won't fit.

The adjustments on the valve cover match the ones in the video rawze made. I'm just going to go through and adjust accordingly lol

I know I need to paint the damper also lol
