Air dryer quick connect fitting
Changing my air dryer and the quick fit plastic thing fell out. Cannot find fitting anywhere. One side has threading and other is quick fit-90 degree 7/8 wrench size. Helppp please !

Do I have to max out the threading when tightening? That’s how I messed that fitting up. I tried to screw the fitting until no threading left. Do I still use thread tape even though it has lock tight on it?

No, you don't have to run the threads until there is no more...typically it will crack before the threads would not be visible. That style of fitting has a tapered thread, hence why it progressively takes more force fairly early on, to make a revolution.

I add some thread sealant before installing, then snug down (not gorilla tighten) until it's pointed in the proper direction.

Got it done, took me way longer than should. It’s in a crooked spot under the truck - between the dr shaft and above both air tanks. I had to drop one tank and that was still tight.
