2350 7th injector pressure sensor keeps failing

Hello everyone. I'm wondering if anyone has had an after-treatment fuel pressure sensor failing multiple times. The engine harness has been replaced with a new manifold and new sensor. All oem parts. Three months later, the sensor failed again. The owner refuses to update the ECM, so it is not been updated since new (2015). Can someone explain how that engine developed a habit of consuming a sensor?

possibly due to contaminants in the fuel system?. - When is the last time anyone has inspected the fuel pump head, replaced its guts?.

Also, if it has de-mandate/custom programming, then it could be that someone jacked up the fuel pressures?.
