CM2350 factory file comparrisons...
This is a continuation of this thread Increasing HorsePower -- What You Need To Know

It is based on the CM2350 engine and what programs i have compared in detail so far. I will build up the list as requests are made and I get time to research them. Just because 2 programs match in CPL and other data does not mean they are fully compatible. For this reason, as people make requests, i will compare the programs and show their differences and slowly build up this list as I get spare time.

Here is what i have so far...

For CPL3937 engines. These files in this group listed have been checked closely and should be fully interchangeable with each other without causing emissions systems or other issues except what is noted ...
Code:
EF10044 = 450HP/1750trq@1800 RPM. Smart torque reduces torque to 1550 after a short bit.

EF10074 = 475HP/1650trq@1800RPM. It has NO smart torque and has higher torque from 1500RPM and above compared to EF10044 due to the HP increase but slightly less torque (1650 peak) below that.

For CPL3938/CPL3939 engines. These files in this group listed have been checked closely and should be fully interchangeable with each other without causing emissions systems or other issues ...
Code:
EF10059 = 485HP/1850trq@1200 RPM(CPL3938). Accelerator noise control  = ON, Smart Torque = OFF.

EF10060 = 500HP/1650trq@1200 RPM(CPL3938). Accelerator noise control = ON, Smart Torque = OFF.

EF10061 = 500HP/1850trq@1200 RPM(CPL3938). Accelerator noise control = ON, Smart Torque = ON.

EF10063 = 500HP/1850trq@1150 RPM(CPL3938). Accelerator noise control = ON, Smart Torque = OFF. The low-end torque is also significantly more aggressive in this file vs. the 100061 file.

EF10064 = 525HP/1850trq@1200 RPM(CPL3939). Same 1850 torque as the EF10067 from 1150 - 1500, then at 1600 rpm+, it falls off slightly due to the lower HP setting. It is also a little softer on the pedal below 1150 rpm. Accelerator noise control is enabled.

EF10067 = 550HP/1850trq@1200 RPM(CPL3939). Accelerator noise control is enabled.

EF10069 = 600HP/1850trq@1200 RPM(CPL3939). This calibration actually has 1950 torque, not the 1850 it is listed at. It also drops off to 572HP at 1600HP and up. Also has accelerator noise control disabled.


EF10072 = 550HP/1850trq@1200 RPM. {Fireturck only!} - Roughly Same as EF10067 but with slightly LESS torque above 1500 rpm. Excess temp shutdowns are disabled. Protections disabled during PTO/pumping. No anti-theft option. No accelerator noise control. Cruise control options disabled. All derates disabled. No warmup protection. No shutdowns for clogged SCR/DPF/DOC. Idle shutdwn blocked. NO starter lockout or overcrank protection.

Does the 'smart torque' have dependancies on emissions related items like the EGR?

Not at all. It simply reduces torque after a set period of time and is a single setting for on/off in most programs.

hey guys can you modify the parameters in the ecm abut scr?
i mean for example to change the margins of the scr catalyst efficiency ... to make the ecm accept lower efficiency values ?

Because I like to take the hard path...i guess is the type of personality I have
The future awaits us all with this emission control systems. Better to understand how it works and maintain and fix.
We are the generation that play the role of the cobai. I am confident they will get there shi#t together... till then have to work with it or AROUND it...
If it becomes to challenging for me ...i will call the gost busters..

If you lived in a country that allows such mods then it is possible to make it more lenient and use less def and such. It has already been done by some top members here more than a few times but it should never be set to mask any real problem. If you have oil or soot or other engine problems causing issue then it will still have issue. You can't make it lenient in ways that ignores clogging components and failing emissions systems because the exhaust is being blocked and that is very bad for motor. Better to fix problems correct instead of trying to band-aid it if the goal is to make problems less.

Is there ever a risk of plugging/restricting the flow of an SCR catalyst by using less or no DEF?
