Yes, as there have been more than a few posts on here in regards to the operational status of these SCR systems failing and or the actual SCR box cracking and leaking. Also, the DEF fluid, over time, hardens up into dried crystals inside the SCR box without periodic maintenance and wreaks havoc on the motor sensors. From what I have read here, these SCR boxes/tanks need regular maintenance by removing, cleaning and inspecting. Another EPA pain in the ass, and more downtime. I believe this should be down annually if memory serves me right.

There are applications that Cummins uses only a doc and no scr. Seems to me if it works for them it should work for other applications if tuned correctly.

I updated the list in post#1...

EF10067 = 550HP/1850trq@1200 RPM.

EF10069 = 600HP/1850trq@1200 RPM. This calibration actually has 1950 torque, not the 1850 it is listed at. It also drops off to 572HP at 1600HP and up. Also has accelerator noise control disabled.

EF10072 = 550HP/1850trq@1200 RPM. {Fireturck only!} - Roughly Same as EF10067 but with slightly LESS torque above 1500 rpm. Excess temp shutdowns are disabled. Protections disabled during PTO/pumping. No anti-theft option. No accelerator noise control. Cruise control options disabled. All derates disabled. No warmup protection. No shutdowns for clogged SCR/DPF/DOC. Idle shutdwn blocked. NO starter lockout or overcrank protection.

Reducing def usage should not hurt the SCR catylist in itself. What hurts it is any soot that may get past the DPF for various reasons like one cracking or the engine producing more than it can filter out. A bad injector for the DEF fluid can cause problems with dried DEF fluid buildup in it too.

Just an FYI for those who may not know, the SCR itself is NOT normally serviceable or cleanable. It is sealed shut at its ends and it would take a cutting torch to get to the element.

When there is a DOC and DPF element preceding it, the SCR element IS a passive device because it is protected from soot buildup by the DPF system. However, for some stupid reason there are idiots who have been doing deletes on trucks that do not bother to hollow it out because it is a lot of work to do and you have to cut it open with a grinder. It is a lot of work to hollow one out and get it back on. Without hollowing it, the bit of soot that a deleted truck makes eventually ALWAYS clogs it. Sometimes it will take up to a few months to happen or only a few weeks. With all emissions fault codes disabled ... you guessed it -- By the time you start experiencing power loss from the blocked up component, severe engine damage starts occurring. - Another huge sign of a bad delete when someone starts saying it does not have to be hollowed out properly or removed.

EF10064 = 525HP/1850trq@1200 RPM. Same 1850 torque as the EF10067 from 1150 - 1500, then at 1600 rpm+, it falls off slightly due to the lower HP setting. It is also a little softer on the pedal below 1150 rpm. Accelerator noise control is enabled.

i updated the list in post #1 so you can compare them.
