2 people I know personally had it done in fl. both ended up having to have it straightened out by Mr. Hag in atlanta. I would PM him and save yourself the hastle of having to do something twice to be right.

How can I find Mr Hag?

2004 T600 cm870 550hp 10 speed UltraShift
Will unplugging the EGR when it is in the closed mode be OK and does it help?

RE: EGR Delete Info -- Educate yourself
Unplugging the EGR temp sensor will put it in protection mode, doesn't hurt it but does cause a derate, atleast it's not eating soot though. I've heard of people driving a LONG LONG time with it unplugged. Your better off to just get it demandated.

2004 is a CM870 engine...

The egr temps sensor is the thing to unplug.. not the egr valve..

for the CM870's, it will not hurt it to just derive it with it unplugged. ppl drive them a million miles like that .. CEL light will be on and it will have a slight boost derate, turbo will run hotter than normal (depends on how hard its driven), .. so at some point, a properly made de-mandate program will be the better option though.

Forum member 'running rough' does most of the CM870's for people around here.

It doesn't have to come off but you will need to move a clamp on the cooler to get it to clear, but it is a lot easier to clean up gasket surfaces and stuff if it is removed.

Your post implies a great deal of nievity and incorrect assumptions there.

--= NO!!!!! ...

- THEY ARE NOT EVEN CLOSE!!!.

== The injector flow, hardware, programming needs etc. settings between them are NOT compatible with each other.

== The charge flow for the vehicle.. external to the enigne is NOT compatible bewtween those 2 programs.

== The fuel-air-mix needs are different.

Those differences along with many others makes those 2 programs NOT COMPATIBLE WITH EACH OTHER!

-----------------------------------------------------------
-----------------------------------------------------------

BUT FIRST OF ALL, AND FAR MORE IMPORTANT ...>>>>

You need to have the de-mandate program that is in the one engine looked at / reviewed to ensure it is safe for either of those 2 engines!. That is more important than anything else you say, as more than 90% of all demandate programming that people do or have done is absolutely harmful to the engine.

e-mail a copy of the program to me for a proper review to see if the program is even somewhat safe to use without tearing the guts out of the engine ... nonetheless is going to run the engine in the right operating mode(s).
