Cm2250 tuning
Id like to get in touch with someone on here to be able to do a remote hp/torq upgrade on my truck. I do heavy haul and really need more hp/torq. It is a 2012 cm2250 450/1650 col 3719. It is a recent converted 4 axle with 4.11 rears, 2250 trans 13 speed. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

same ratings and cpl as my engine.

try pm'ing Unilevers or Mommaburt. They can be busy so be patient.

Have you rebuilt or replaced the fuel pump on that engine yet? Don't want that thing breaking on you, especially with heavy engine loads. If it fails it could take the whole engine with it.

Ya i update the fuel pump, and the oil pump last year. I also replaced the compressor at 700k cause of a lot of them locking up and destroying motors around 800k.

nice. I replaced my compressor at about 470k. Didn't lock up but the threads in the top of the head for the coolant line fitting decided to corrode away and the pressure blew the fitting out on the highway. Supposedly it's a common problem and wouldn't you know they don't sell a replacement head for that pump. (or at least that's what I was told)

yup. and i had the pleasure of being on the side of I-70 in MO at 5pm with no way to fix it myself. roadside repair, new compressor, an hour travel each way to get the parts from Kansas City, labor and I insisted on draining and replacing all the coolant (even though i only lost about a gallon). yup great way to spend $3400.

In hindsight, if i had the parts or tools, i probably could have dried the fitting off and used some jb weld. Or might have been able to open up the head and tap new threads for a larger fitting. but roadside with no useful tools... That was when I went searching and found this forum.

Supposedly says the mechanics from my local Cummins dealer. They suggested i replace it by 800k. So i was trying to be proactive and prevent it, i figured it couldn't hurt.

RE: Cm2250 tuning
Never heard of compressors locking up and destroying the motor, but the life of them is right around 800,000 - 900,000 miles. Best to be proactive on these parts, and you were. Oh, I would find another mechanic/shop.
