RE: turbo blanket Another possible benefit of wrapping the exhaust all the way to the DPF is to keep the DPF temp at 600F or better. Mild regen starts around 600F so in theory fewer active (dosing fuel) regens will be needed. Early on some mfrs wrapped their systems pretty completely. Not so much anymore. Maybe they want the money from aftertreatment system repairs. | |||
