Cm870 vgt command 70%
I have a isx 475 cm870 that i just flashed back with thr correct calibration. Someone prior had put a 550 hp cal in it. Now the vgt is showing a commanded position of 70% in insite at idle. Before the flash it was 25%

thats standard on all newer 870 cals. it should move down when you come off idle.

Perfect, and yeah it does come down to around 25 % off idle. I was hoping it was designed that way. Doesn't really shock me but she has way more pulling power now than she did at "550". imagine that lol

Likely because it had the wrong program in it. It is very common for shops to put "uprated" hp factory programs in engines with no clue as to even if the program is even compatible or not. They rely on the "Calibration Details" from Insite, or Incal to do their damage with, but they have no clue that the info provided is completely misleading sometimes.
