Question, the Crankshaft and Camshaft Positioning/Speed Sensors, are they the same part on the CM-871? I am looking to replace the Crankshaft sensor down by the damper. I had no luck finding any sensors on Quickserve and called the dealer. My parts guy was surprised when he pulled up the part and said it was the same sensor for both applications? He gave me part number 4921599. Is this correct regarding this sensor being used in both locations? Thanks!
I don't know the part numbers Waterloo, but yes the crank sensor is down by the damper.

I always have trouble finding sensor part numbers on QS, but YES, they are the same.

Number 31, says (2) cam or crank

Thanks for giving me something to do, I'm getting bored waiting for the canoe...
Thank you sir! I replaced the sensor up at the head, #5 and figured it would have been better to replace both. You know the old saying, when one of two goes, replace both, as the other is soon to fail.
