Happy Friday guys maybe someone can help, this is my first week in my 2010 386 Isx 10spd Fuller. When I hit a bump or occasionally turn I hear a harsh knock coming from mid cab area . Upon inspection I noticed the leaf spring bushings are shot but also looks like there is supposed to be a rear support bracket over the transmission that I don’t see , I see the two studs on the top of the trans and also the bolts where it would be secured to the frame but no bracket ... I was told only 13spds have that bracket but that sounds ridiculous. Does anyone have a 386 or have knowledge of them ? Any info would be greatly appreciated see pics attached below
I wouldn't worry about that bracket. The way it looks it never had one from the factory. I would go with your spring pins/bushings are worn. Get it fixed and your noise should be gone.
There is no bracket there.. looks just like every truck i've been under.. but you might want to look at the cab shocks for the crashing feel you got.. and look at the trans mounts at the front of the trans.. but try the shocks :)
Ok cool got it , thanks guys !
Might be good idea bring your vin# to the dealer, and see what comes up on your truck.
Someone left something off that bolt at 1 time. I've seen 10 speeds with the rear support bracket but not many. Hhow55 has the right plan. Call dealership and ask.
I just replaced my pins and bushings last year. I had grease able ones put in.
Yeah so I got to the bottom of it , the spring is sliding on the pin when I make a turn and smacking the shackle. I was able to scooped up the parts after work so I’ll get on it tomorrow morning.

Yeah that’s what had me thinking when I saw the nut loose.
