What would you suggest? Obviously, no recaps on steers. But, what brand and size tires would you recommend for the best mpg n comfort?

God Bless CUMMINS
Don't buy recaps unless you like sitting on the side of the road waiting for the tire guy. just my opinion but i know a little about tires and have played the recap game.
iI think recaps on trucks should be illegal.
Every daycab i come across has RECAPS on the rear. I plan on replacing all of them but I wanted to know how you professionals thought of them!
I'm with Rawze. Recaps should be illegal.
We ran them on company trailers, they blew out like there was no tomorrow. I would never put them on my tractor.
here in oz a lot of trucks use recamic tyres on the drives. i know my inlaws have used them for years and no problems. but they arent cheap either. trailers and steer only ever use new.
I run them on my lift axle, but they are my own virgin casings. I will not on my tractor or non liftable axles on my trailer.
Reality of recap to virgin in my operation (OTR flatbed 80000 lbs gross.........
Recap for 2 years = 1 blow out a month
Virgin = not 1 blow out in 10 years
