Rawze has an excellent how to become a money making owner operator segment under Rawzes book. I suggest you read it and believe it.
The 2250 has multiple money losing issues, and for you to consider it at this point with all the information available on this website tells me your not either believing what your reading or not doing enough investigating.
Not trying to be an arse, but you have received some real information from some great individuals that has cost them dearly to learn.

at a glance ...

fuel lifetime = 5.5 mpg. not so good.

32% idle time.

rears = 3.70's? -- I would verify that. If correct, that is the only plus.

23% average enigne load. is typical of highway truck.

A max enigne speed of 4,373 rpm is downright scary. -- Abused?


regen system has been blocked up pretty bad in the past too. I see someone probably demandating that thing very soon.
The DPF has been replaced,a pressure sensor,and dosing unit.

3.70 gears has been verified.

What can that engine speed be from?
Decided not to go see the truck.Not much at all in my price range with 3.55 and up,13 or 18 speed,and not too many miles.

Personal opinion...run away. 8k rpm and the pistons stayed in? So much time in the overspeed column as well..that truck has lived a hard life. Unless you're getting it for a song and are willing to inframe it at anytime...keep looking.
I would have to assume that 8,031 rpm overspeed has to be one of 13,374 fault occurrences in 3,304 hours the fault light was on and not an actual reached rpm. This truck has had some problems.
