my turbo is bad and i need reccomendations on a replacement. so should i do factory. aftermarket or what? factory are 5000.00!! ouch help please!!
You can get yours rebuilt at

YTS Turbochargers LLC
296 Wilson Rd, Griffin, GA 30223

Otherwise go with factory original, don't cheap out. If a turbo comes apart it will send metal fragments through your cac and into the motor, also down into the oil pan. Its quite a job to clean it all up after a failure, definitely not worth the gamble.
Also don't let some dumba$$ talk you into a fixed vane turbo. Do it right or you'll regret it.
is rebuilding a good option or just go new? any good places to get a new one that has better pricing
Yts, Cummins, stealershits that's your choices. Yts will be cheapest and come back looking like from a show truck and probably be better than new/reman from Cummins
I’m sure Waterloo will chime in, but new Oem is really hard to warranty for a backyard mechanic with all hoops Cummins is throwing at us.
Tree98 idea is very well thought of on this forum.
already called yts I'm going that route. I believe
YTS, mine is going strong, just inspected CAC and lines, no slobber like those expensive Cummins remans. Call them, he will take care of you, great folks, incredible pricing. When I received mine, after replacing several reman Cummins units for puking oil everywhere, I did not want to put that YTS Turbo on my truck, I wanted to take it home and place it on the coffee table. Seriously, it is a damn work of art. And that finish is holding up.

I appreciate every one and rawze. My turbo blewout. I can't complain the turbo lasted 877,000 miles. I'm down here in Griffin at YTS picking up my new reman. Thanks to Rawze.com again, I think I'm in good shape.
