I've been fighting with this code for sometime now. It goes and comes. Looked up insite and it's injection metering rail number 1 pressure, I guess it's shooting too much fuel. It's either the fuel pump actuator or fuel pressure valve. Anyone have any idea? My truck cuts off for a split second here and there because insite says it's trying to reset.
Rawze has his fuel actuator video in regards to checking if they are mechanically sound. Easy enough to check... At least see if the plungers are shot on one of them. Unless I knew different, that is where I personally would start.
We literally just had a truck that crapped out the fuel pump.

After the mechanic replaced that component, truck still had a occasional loss of power, same code you listed.

I stole the fuel rail selonid from another down truck and stuck it on the one with the 1911 code.

Truck hasnt been back in the shop since.

We have had to replace the fuel rail pressure sensor, and these selonids on quite a few trucks
U think I should swap out rail solenoid/ that's the check valve in front of the rail right ? I hate to swap it out and no be it. It's a $290 part. I swapped out pump 4 months ago to 2 cylinder pump with updated plungers.
Swap the one from the rear bank from the front bank and see what happens, this is on the fuel actuator/meter. Easiest way to tell and at least rule those out...
The only relief valve I see is on the front of the rail
After reading on insite and the tsb they have on these valves, having the same power loss from the truck joed2323 fixed I'm going to bite the bullet and change it out tmrw morning before 200 mile round trip. I'll post results tmrw.
Ok so this morning I changed out the fuel pressure relief valve and right away when I fired up the engine it sounds way better then it did, not as loud! Got my power back also! But it still Cuts off for a split second when taking off and shifting to 9th gear or when driving on 10th. What can be wrong? Fuel pump actuator?
