Pull out the air line and cut a fresh clean straight end on it. Most importantly in your situation you need to get enough air line to have it come straight in to the quick connect fitting.

Your airline is pulled off to the side and causing the leak because the line is to short.

Yep, beat me to it....if the airline is not seated properly or has a lateral pressure (usually from being too short), it will never fully seal. It loads up one side of the O-ring and allows the air to pass on the other.
How often should the air dryer purge?

Each time the air builds to the set cut-out psi (controlled by governor).
But shouldn't be purging constantly, like every 30 seconds.

So 2-3 minute intervals are normal?
Not if your parked..... unless you have a bad leak somewhere.

Driving.
Pop off should be around 45 sec apart sitting still, Not any closer than that (what an old timer told me)
It being constant its like Mr. Hag said, the compressor is running all the time and not cutting off
And for as them quiting and seeing that broke down hose (if it where me)Id remove the head on the compressor and check the reed valve I almost bet a piece of hose got caught in it
You can find the spec sheet for doing it on quickserv
