Hey guys I have a 2014 kw t800 with a cummins isx15. I have code 103 on the engine and I just replaced an outlet nox sensor for a check engine light along with a new fuel filter and pressure/temperature sensor on egr for code 124. Is my turbo fubar? My mechanic that I use wants to open and clean my vgr and have cummins re flash it. I need a boost gage. Please help, I feel dumb right now.

First of all, cummins fault code 103 does not exist for that model engine.

Fault code 124 is for intake manifold pressure.

I am thinking you have the wrong codes, or some other info missing in your post there.

and what is a "vgr" .. was that a typo?
A little hand held scanner tool showed spn0103. I guess I need to hook up insite on the motor. The day before, I had codes 125 with one occuranse and 124 with seven occuranse.
I meant vgt (turbo)

Fault code 0687 active count 2 turbocharger 1 speed - data valid but below normal operating range- moderately severe level PID 102. J1587 FMI 1 J1939 FMI 18 SPN 103
New speed sensor changed by me fixed my issue. Had code cleared after changing the sensor (had 2 holes in two different spots with bare wires exposed). The KW dealership pulled the codes for free and cleared for free after I called local cummins and was quoted 4 hour minimum to hook a computer up with insite @ $187/hr.

an adapter kit is less than $300 off flea-bay or from obd2.com

every ISX truck owner should have an adapter and a running copy of the Insite software, bare minimum.

It is good that you found it. Thanks for sharing.
