We have two new to us 2012 trucks in our fleet, ISC, one with 188k one wiith 260k.

How reliable is the aftertreatment in these years models? One just threw acode for a NOx sensor. Are we better off "fixing" these, or are they pretty reliable with minimum issues?

On my ISC, I ended up putting the aftertreatment 'away'...are you over the road or vocational?

We are a school, mostly idling the truck, alwats empty.

If you aren't big on maintenance then just demandate them and be done.They will need an EGR tuneup about every year.
