I have an isx 2250 rebuilt but I pin and wedge the cam set idler gear and torque all by the hook but it keeps losing timing does anyone have the cam spec for wear or the gear? Or any insite

Are you putting loctite on the cam gears?
If it is installed properly then it would be absolute h#ell for it to slip or even to even remove it without having to use max torque on the proper puller for that matter.

If the cam is slipping, then someone made a mistake during install and/or gear placement. that or something got damaged during the install. It is some type of oversight or incorrect procedure nonetheless, and that is a scary thing for a $40,000 commercial engine.

A discussion on the proper way to install these gear(s) is on this video...
