I had it transferred to my laptop before the Trooper showed up. You guessed it.....the guy said he didnt know what happened....until he saw my video.....I had accident aswell..some lady dicided to turn LEFT when she had red light. When accident happen she admit that her fault , but later she change her mind. So I did show my dashcam to the officer..and the lady was in trouble. She got ticket. If didnt have dashcam that time they probably suspend my cdl. Here's video https://youtu.be/4uBssXyN6-w Btw my old volvo 660 was total loss. RE: Best dashcam? - Nilao - 08-01-2016 Ouch. That look like it hurt. RE: Best dashcam? - stevesparts - 08-01-2016 I went for the full Monty, and sprung for a 3 cam system from windshield cams out of Canada.(yes, Spendy) it saves about 280+hrs and you can play back anytime(remote) or shoot it to your laptop to save. its save my butt 2 times already. from idiots say i was tailgating them/driving like a mad man. Showed it to the officer and then was told to have a nice day,and they got the shi4 read to them...it was GREAT!!! Plus i've had just the fwd facing one's,but i do like the fact that i can show where they came from and what their doing before they get in front of me. :) and the fwd camera see's really good in fog, heavy snow, or just shitty condition. RE: Best dashcam? - kryten - 08-01-2016 This is the one I've been running for about a year now. It is my fourth dash cam and while a bit pricey, it is the least problematic. It doesn't have a screen but it does have wifi so with an app from blackvue you can download video to your smart phone. This is also the only real problem I've had with it as it can be difficult to get the phone and cam to see each other. Also as long as you format the card every week or two it works good. https://www.blackboxmycar.com/collections/blackvue/products/blackvue-dr650s-1ch-wifi?variant=4305081985 RE: Best dashcam? - Nilao - 08-02-2016 $300 and you can have a home security camera system. 4 cameras with a hard drive. $500 and you get 8 cameras and a Solid state drive. That's the way I went. Now I can see things from every angle and if I take a week off and someone hits my truck, well it has 60 days worth of recording rather than a few hours with the small units. RE: Best dashcam - ccigoianu - 08-02-2016 Nilao, what exactly system do you useif you don't mind? RE: Best dashcam? - BlueTurbo - 08-03-2016 check this one out. I got it with $127 not it's $119. have used it for about 4 months no problem. it has g sensor , parking sensor, gps, motion sensor, 1080p wide angle...and comes with 32gb micro sd card.. Had a 2tb hard drive. I swapped it out for a solid state drive due to vibration of the truck. Didn't want it ruining the drive if I hit a bump at the wrong time. The cameras have a protection rating of ip-66. That means it's imperious to dust and high pressure water jets from any direction. A must for those blue beacons truck washes. https://m.samsclub.com/ip/swann-8-channel-1080p-tvi-dvr-security-system-with-8-1080p-cameras-2tb-hard-drive-and-100-night-vision-/prod19070375 |
