The actuator can be rebuilt for less than $200 bucks. ...
the turbo can be re built by YTS for about $2500.

Thank you rawzw for your advice, i will try to learn and fix stuff and of course save some money
and yeab reman from cummins $5700 + $1000 core this prople are reckeetering us legally.

And here is the ugly, if it can get any uglier, that $5700 reman Cummins turbo will more than likely puke oil all over the place after installing it. Better off calling YTS Turbo in Griffin GA, he can ship one to you and it comes with a real warranty, something Cummins will not offer. It will be worth the wait.
He handles the actuators too... ;-)

I already got the truck running. I have buddy in Chicago told me a shop that reman turbo and actuators, they shipped it in a day and wednesday my truck was ready. Fees way better now and the price wasn’t bad around $3300 for turbo witb actuator :))

Don't be surprised if that cheap unknown turbo lets you down in a very messy way. The aftermarket turbos out there are GARBAGE at best. Especially the ones coming out of NJ. YTS in Georgia is the only trusted turbo reman facility in the country.

Sounds like a China turbo or junkyard turbo would be surprised if dead by Christmas
