Does Cummins make a maintenance free filter for the 870? I was reading the thread about it and all they talk about is for the 871.

I believe it is the same one. Maybe call a dealer to double check.

They can't do anything without a part #....... I googled it and came up with CV50638 as an original replacement.Anyone know if that's correct?

870 doesn't have a crankcase filter. Those started in 2007 with the DPF and 871. 870 vents to the ground.

I had an 870, I swear it had a CC filter on it. Maybe I'm thinking of something else then.

Mine doesn't anyways, Its vented to the ground.
