New egr cooler failure rate - tree98 - 06-24-2019 I think I remember reading here somewhere that the egr cooler failure rate is high on new engines. I think it was just the original cooler that would fail at such a high rate.Anyone know where that was? RE: New egr cooler failure rate - Nilao - 06-24-2019 I think you're correct. The OEM expects them to fail within the 1st 75k miles due to the block settling. I don't know where the article is though. RE: New egr cooler failure rate - Rawze - 06-24-2019 that was for the 871's back in the day. not sure if it is still a problem as they changed the mounting design. I know internally the OE ones are tough as nails though these days. i think you were referring to this thread ref: http://rawze.com/forums/showthread.php?tid=2398&pid=20682#pid20682 RE: New egr cooler failure rate - tree98 - 06-24-2019 That's the one thanks Rawze |
