Amsoil Bypass Filter - suined - 11-02-2020 I logged on to purchase a bypass filter setup for my cm2250. Noticed amsoil has a new dual filter setup out now. Its actually cheaper than the single filter. Has anyone used this or do you suggest sticking with the single filter? Dual Filter https://www.amsoil.com/p/dual-gard-bypass-system-bmk22/?zo=1536032 Single Filter https://www.amsoil.com/p/heavy-duty-bypass-system-bmk30/ RE: Amsoil Bypass Filter - Rawze - 11-03-2020 Not a bad option if your enigne tends to clog them up from soot, but its always better to do whatever it takes to lower engine soot levels instead of masking them. That way your DPF does not have to suffer excess soot problems. If your de-mandating your truck, it will take likely 4 or 5 months to clog up only a single filter on a healthy engine. Dual filter,.. they would likely be rusted out before you change them. Bypass filter is fine, but extending oil changes = engine cam issues and all sorts of other problems. The engine oil separates long before it shows its going bad by any lab. I have seen now about 50+ times where people have overhead cam problems at a higher than normal frequency by trying to extend oil changes, where people who use regular Rotella or Delo go a million+ and never have a single cam problem. here are my thoughts on bypass filter systems and the ISX. http://rawze.com/forums/showthread.php?tid=108&pid=617#pid617 RE: Amsoil Bypass Filter - GAguy912 - 11-03-2020 I’ve seen a thread on oil bypasss sets up before cannot Remember if it was on here or somewhere else. I would like to learn more. I’ve looked for the search bar and cannot find it (missing it I guess) does anyone have a link on this forum for it? Refer to the part of the forum " Rawze's technical information" there's a post about bypass filters. Here is the direct link http://rawze.com/forums/showthread.php?tid=108 RE: Amsoil Bypass Filter - redbeard - 11-04-2020 I have the single Amsoil bypass system on my truck. It takes the extra large eabp120 filter. The housing is built well and heavy duty. Very happy with this setup. The dual set up use’s a physically smaller filter and not sure how robust the mount is. I’m sure rail space to mount is limited. The single system with the eabp120 filter is tried and and I have heard of zero failures. RE: Amsoil Bypass Filter - GAguy912 - 11-04-2020 Thanks for the information |
