Injector leak test kit

I ordered an injector leak test kit but it didn't come with a gasket. Do you need a gasket? In Rawze's video he puts on a gasket. Mine has the o ring in the hole but no gasket for the plate.

as long as it seals, it should work?.

I think the oring takes the place of the metal gasket. The new actuators use orings unless I'm mistaken.
