RE: CM2350 X101 Well I tore this engine apart and just so everyone knows it only has 4755 hours since its last inframe at a stealership by the previous owner. I did find 3 injector cups leaking fuel and #4 cup was cracked and head was also cracked at the same spot. All my liners were straight and pressed at .15 protrusion. Pistons had very minimal carbon on the ones leaking fuel. Cam, mains and con rod bearings showed little to no wear. Since I’m doing the work myself I replaced the head and I’m using the same cam. So now I’m doing my base timing, the engine is pinned, using the correct wedge. So my question is how did my cam end up exactly 1/2 a turn off from where I marked everything when I took it apart? | |||

RE: CM2350 X101 ... Well I figured it out. I didn’t have the timing wedge in when I marked everything. Turn the crank a full rotation and everything lined up. | |||
