Some aussie market red engines (9liter for example) that had egr and dpf on other parts of the world had no egr in aussie market, but instead had SCR and used internal egr.

This truck that you are looking at is 2450 not 2250 . Parts site gives that from esn.

Those huge tall exhaust stacks and flat sharp corners front end are no good for fuel mileage. Also lots of bling bling chrome is just pointless waste of money on a work truck.

I'm pretty sure this is my first post on the forum, but alas, I will try to not get off on the wrong foot.

With the work a lot of the trucks do here down under, there is no such thing as fuel economy. The work I do, which is the same work at the trucks in the photos I have posted, we gross usually over 300k pounds. A. triple road train with all tri axle groups is legal generally up to 148 metric tonnes gross mass. We measure fuel burn in litres per kilometer, not kilometers per litre. I do agree with you though, the chrome is a waste of money, but that's how those trucks are generally delivered here. As has already been mentioned, this is how they come here. Because of the way the model cycles work, we can end up with trucks years behind the emissions laws in the US.

These few photos are from a K200 kenworth, not my truck, but the company I subcontract to, totally stock. I didn't get a photo of the turbo setup, but it is quite the same as the one in the photo above.

These are from a different truck, same spec, T909.

I should add, these trucks, while taken a while (12 months +) to be built, were delivered within the last 12-18 months, so they are not ancient. I believe these guys ended up with the last of the K200 models, which have been replaced be the K220 now....

I should also add, on the topic of being able to fit the hardware and flash the tune. I believe the answer is no. Rawze has either spoken about this on mumble or has posts here (probably both actually) that there are differences that make it not a possible solution. I'm sure if he feels the need to weigh in, he will.

RE: Raw CM2250
In those pictures the turbo is painted red like rest of the engine.

{look like} these engines indeed do have emissions. They have SCR - THAT IS EMISSIONS. Also programming wise there are limits for nox and lots of auxiliary emissions. How are the camshaft profiles? Valve overlap can also act like EGR. Also pulse injection can create small explosion that burns away available oxygen and there is internal EGR.

SCR cans get deSox and deNox regens too, they are active elements in this case

Looks like the typical Aussie truck to me.

I also notice that the wiring and other plumbing is of higher quality, and secured more thoroughly than the Kenworths here in the states. It makes a person wonder why that is...lol.

Got a question for this ; whats the typical miles / Km you guys usually do an inframe on your Motors when hauling this Weight.
