ISX15 intake backfire ???
I have a 2013 Coronado with ISX15, still mandated, that while under load and boost builds I get what almost sounds like a backfire coming from intake. It does it once and boost drops, happens again and boost drops again and then end up having to down shift. Any ideas at what I’m looking at… boost sensor, turbo actuator, turbo… all the above

RE: ISX15 intake backfire ???
First off, before you fire the parts cannon and blow through tens of thousands of dollars on parts you don't need, you need to do an EGR TUNEUP!!, referenced here: https://rawze.com/forums/showthread.php?tid=842
Basically there's a list of sensors to replace with OEM and parts that need to be cleaned out..
-Imap sensor replaced.
-Exhaust Gas Pressure sensor replaced, its passage and tube to exhaust manifold cleaned and free flowing.
-EGR Delta P sensor replaced and its manifold cleaned and free flowing.
-EGR Pressure sensor (if equipped) replaced and passage cleaned and free flowing.
-EGR temperature sensor replaced.
-EGR Valve should be removed and cleaned.
-EGR Cooler should be cleaned and free flowing.
-Ideally the intake manifold and crossover tube should only have a film of carbon on a properly maintained system, but if you can break chunks of it, they too should be removed and cleaned out..
Do this first to rule out bad data from old sensors and obstructed passages..

RE: ISX15 intake backfire ???
Second important thing is ONLY GENUINE parts and NO wet cleaning or pressure washing of dpf or scr catalyst!!!
