RE: Havig a bad day. CM2350 fuel pump failure. Thanks for this post. This happened to me August 19th. Freightliner says I'm ready to roll. Rebuilt fuel pump, new rods and mains, new oil cooler, new oil bypass, and oil thermostat. This has been the worst break down yet. Pray it's fixed. I wouldn't have found this problem without this post. Thanks again Rawze.

Run it for a week and cut the oil filter open and look for metal shavings. User's Signature: ->: What I post is just my own thoughts and Opinions! --- I AM Full Of S__T!.

RE: Havig a bad day. CM2350 fuel pump failure. Correct. The fuel pump issues are on the 2250's and 2350's. Terrible, terrible design. A fuel pump failure should not destroy an engine. On the 871's you just have to worry about the fuel solenoids or actuators (I forget what they are called). However, if one fails, it doesn't take out the whole engine. RE: Havig a bad day. CM2350 fuel pump failure. Just cut around the top plate and slide the whole metal shell off the filter media. You can use a band saw, saws all, or a angle grinder with a metal cut off wheel on it.
