exhaust manifold gasket leak This morning I've spotted an oily soot trail around cylinder#5 exhaust port. 6500 miles after my previous PM and oil is still at the full mark. Should I start worrying about ?

RE: exhaust manifold gasket leak did you let truck idle for a period of time? A small leak i wouldnt be that worried about but keep an eye on it. Could be valve guide seals or piston wet stacking. They will do sometimes when idling.

RE: exhaust manifold gasket leak Agree with Mr Hagg, that's a monitor condition, along with time to start saving for "manifold gasket and possible v/g seal replacement fund". You're not in critical condition, but it's something you should prepare for User's Signature: Why? Why do I always ask "why?" Because I can't learn or help teach others with "'cause I said so..."
