I am thinking my ECM is going full retard. I am considering buying a new one but dont want to support the psychic dealer network. I see them on Ebay but I dont trust them. Just wondering if anyone got a good deal on a new one. Also looking to get a new head too. Most places I am working with say they cant get one.

(Cummins Dealer ) at least you might have a warranty ?
Roll the dice on junk yard one and your out the money.
I bought a new one and kept my old one to learn on.
I'll swap out if and when we trade truck in.

There is an engine rebuilder in Indiana off rt20 that sold a Cummins certified reman kit to a buddy of mine for around $5k. The dealer in my area wanted over $8k. I'm thinking the profit margin is pretty big at some shops. Maybe someone got a good ecm at a reasonable price. Just checking the water before I jump in.

Hey preacher boy, I might still have an ecm I bought of eBay a few years ago for an ism, pretty sure it would work on a N-14. I had to use one on my N-14 celect + in a pinch and it had one heck of a lope at idle but I had Cummings reprogram it and never looked back. If ya want I can try and locate it.

I have an ISX CM870

Preacher Boy, If you have a cm870 the ecm should have a part number of 3684009
If so I have one used but working good let me know.
