2350 VGT repair?? I have a low mileage ISX in the shop that had the turbo stuck at 4% according to Insite. Pulled the actuator off today and the turbo VGT ring or linkage is froze up. I put a crescent wrench on the lever and tried pretty forcefully to get it to move. The actuator seems to work ok. Damn truck only has 20,000 miles on it but it is over 2 years old so I don't think I can warranty it for the guy. Truck had a mm mandate back in sept. It has never had an egr cooler leak or other issues that normally cause the VGT to gum up and stick. Have you ever tried to rebuild the VGT part of these turbos? Fleet price on a reman is $5900. Normally we just replace them but this truck only has 20K on it. | |||
