Hopefully this buys me just a little respect from the group considering all I knew about trucking 4 weeks ago was that it hauls stuff from one place to another.

I think last time I priced it around here, it was roughly $250-$300 or $450 at stealershits. That price you mentioned is right in that ballpark range.

This place is for helping others in a genuine way who own their trucks and want to be as profitable as possible. it is not about building up respect and likes and all the other crap bulls$it that the younger generation of idiots are hopelessly addicted to. if anyone is here because they want respect and likes and popularity ,... >>> TAKE THAT S$IT TO FACE-FOOK WHERE IT BELONGS!

If they want to learn and know about their truck, how to keep it profitable, and are tired of all the other bulls%it on the Internet that is mostly marketed and does not work,.. Maybe this is the place to discuss such things,..but then again, they have to put up with Rawze's hot-sauce attitude too. I try to keep it realistic and knock people's thinking out of the clouds and back to reality whenever I spot it. Some people just don't like that and I don't blame them.

I have been reading all your posts and as a whole,.. you ARE ON THE RIGHT TRACK. You are asking questions and so far, I have given you a hard time about it on purpose,.. only to show that there is a long journey ahead of you and a lot of hard lessons you have not faced yet towards owning a truck. I have met hundreds and hundreds of people with your same exact thinking towards relying on those "warranties" only to hear them cry and it hold them back because they wasted so much money on it, allowing it to control them. -- What a waste is all I have to say. I had a phone call earlier today and the same scenario -- guy was saying -> "butt i paid $5000 for this warranty" and in the same breath they are afraid of voiding it to get the truck custom tuned and save them $8,000 - $10,000 a year in fuel costs all while complaining that the truck can't break 5-6 mpg no matter what they do. The the next thing out of their mouth was "I had to pay $2000 out of pocket because the warranty would not cover my turbo actuator and the dealer charged me $1000 more in costs troubleshooting it and replacing it because the warranty did not cover parts with wires on them" -- where is the warranty in that? -- NONE!. Bad business decision to rely on something that is costing you more money than it was ever worth.

-- Stories like this are almost EVERY WEEK around here,,. so my screaming at you about how bad warranties and how much money you wasted IS VERY JUSTIFIED BELIEVE IT OR NOT! - STOP lying to yourself!. Even those few cases where the truck owner had a bad engine and they actually paid for the re-man,... IT WAS A TOTAL SH$IT JOB AND THEY HAD TO RE DO IT IN A YEAR OR SO OUT OF POCKET TO GET IT RIGHT AGAIN!!. WHY???-- BECAUSE THEY LET THE STEALERSHIT DO THE WORK!!!

And then ther is this --> THE FIRST TIME YOU COME ON HERE CRYING ABOUT THAT DPF AND SCR AND EMISSIONS IS SYSTEM KEEPING YOU PAINFULLY BROKE AND IN THE SHOPS OVER AND OVER " and now you want to DE-mandate it or go out of business (because that day is coming believe me),.. THAT WARRANTY WILL BECOME VOID AND ALL THAT $8000 YOU WASTED could have gone towards actually making that truck profitable.

-- if that stealershit has deemed your EGR cooler the culprit of the coolant in the engine oil,.. MAKE THEM DO A PROPER BUBBLE TEST ON IT AND WATCH THEM DO IT TO PROVE IT BEFORE APPROVING ANY REPAIRS! -- I would take coolant in the oil VERY VERY seriously, and it does not take the idiots at a stealer to find it.

My advice,.. get that truck AWAY FROM THEM AND AS FAR AWAY AS POSSIBLE! and pressure test that coolant system to 20 PSI overnight with the oil pan off it and the back side of the egr cooler elbow pipe off. -- NO COOLANT IN 24 HOURS with 20 PSI on it = NOT LEAKING!!! -- but don't listen to me,.. keep wasting that money and waiting for that truck to go in the bay and that extra week of waiting again for those warranty approvals and then wait some more and then second guess it again and 3 weeks form now,..; more mysterious coolant losses and more down time and the cycle of "trucking business killing warranty woes" sets in and all the tens of thousands on lost revenue they are not going to reimburse you for.

it is a cycle I have seen at least a hundred truck owners go through and you are on that path front and center based on the things you are posting on here. Let us know how it turns out because if you gained something form it,.. YOU WOULD BE THE RARE EXCEPTION, NOT THE NORM!!!
