RE: 2008 isx 450 mayday got hot (just guessing here, no one is likely to be able to answer that definitively unless they were looking at it) -- Sound like it may have spun a crank bearing if it is not hydra-locking. Also, if it is old,... you can almost count on the fact that the head gasket will fail in a month or 2 (perhaps less) after it overheats like that. Very common problem if you do overheat one. I would not drive it at all until you find out what is creating the excess internal friction. You could be destroying the crank or something else very expensive.
