RE: 2250 replace a 2350 The emissions system wiring and control circuits are quite different. I have seen a few guys take 2350 engines and put on all 2250 wiring + 2250 ECM. The ECM needs custom programming for it to work correctly like that. The 2350 has higher compression ratio, different injector designs and spray, different boost requirements, and a few other things that require compensation for it to run right. - I have had to straighten out a few for people that a couple dealerships have sent to me because they just would not run quite right.
