Engine isn't even broken in yet. From what I remember, my 2013 Volvo had about the same fuel mileage as you are getting now until I got past about 50k. Then it slowly started to get better and better from there. It stopped getting better at around 100k and now I am in the low 7's with 366k on her.

You are also on brand new tires. That will effect fuel mileage, big time.

I don't know if anyone else will agree with me or not, but my advice, keep on trucking.

That's true. When I bought my 2014 volvo I was so angry because my old brick of a truck international 9300 with a 525 red top n14 was getting better mileage than this extreme efficiency euro truck but after about 35000 miles (hauling 140k) or so there was no comparison. ..... the volvo saved me $100 a day.
