No shop class in high school in Cobb County where I grew up in Georgia. I suppose they dont want kids getting hurt. But your in school so they should teach you safety right. Would have been my favorite class if they had it.

When I was in high school, I took Television repair, Electronics, Wood-shop, computer programming, advanced algebra, Lock-picking, music classes, and every other vocational thing they had to offer that i could join. I missed out on welding, as they were at same time as the other courses, but I hung out in those classes after school a lot.

Back then, "SUE" was the name of a person, not a verb. A kid got hurt, they choked it up to stupidity, as it should be.

I don't know why, but todays society is now hell bent of regulating and controlling stupidity instead of actually educating people that some things can be dangerous if not respected. - Sad if you ask me.

They all claim these days that the toys I grew up with like Tonka-Toys made from real metal, the "big-wheel", chemestry sets, and all the other things a kid can have actual fun with as "harmful" and oh-my-god,.. would not want to learn to respect things for what they are,.. instead, they encourage kids these days to play with a toy that will ... Destroy your sense of one's self, Give you all the pornography you ever desired so that you can't get it up when on a real date, are controlled by corporate sponsoring, degrades your ability to speak proper English, causes neck problems from starring down all the time, causes eye problems from starring closely at it for 15 hours a day, and makes you so addicted to it that they literally have severe withdraw symptoms if you take it away. --- When you see that 5 year old with that "F#$#KIN SMART-PHONE" in their hand. -- I suppose that is less harmful to our children and young adults? --- WHO HE HELL DO THEY THING THEY ARE KIDDING!?!


Schools in America now are nothing but a complete joke where all they want from you is to memorize the answers to tests, look s#it up on google and become part of the brainwashed social media machine. The whole thing is designed singularly around corporate sponsored brain-washed consumerism and making the school look good and keeping the children in a bubble of ignorance. - Has nothing to do with actual education.
