RE: 2010 Lonestar (05-25-2019 )Lonestar10 Wrote: went accross i80 east of omaha to des moines then up 35 heading towards Michigan with 62k gross of stacked PVC pipe. so not only did i have a head/cross wind also had a million little parachutes. most hills across there would have had me in 11th to 10th to climb never left 13th from omaha to des moines I have LP22's and 3.55's so we're pretty close on gearing. This was the worst parachute load I've had so far - only 26k, but over 30mph it pulled every bit as hard as 48k. 58, 62, 70, it just didn't matter on this one and I struggled and failed to stay above 6 mpg on the tank. I do wish I could switch to 3.25's when I'm empty though, it would be nice to be able to run 70 and still get high 8's. I may switch to 11r22 when I'm due for drives - I think the small change would just be about right and the compromise should offset whatever rolling resistance difference there is. | |||
