Cut away, I would... Cut the rubber flooring with a sharp utility knife and have at it. Hell, I've pulled all of the under dash panels out, ripped out my sleeper and you name it, I have done it. The truck is a tool, treat it as such. Get a set of floor mats, they make them for our trucks... I have a set of Minimizer floor mats in my ProStar and love them.
