| RE: Cummins isx SPN 157 FM 1I8 is the infamous cummins fault code 559 that typically occurs after a fuel pump failure. If you want any chance to save that engine: - STOP DRIVING IT IMMEDIATELY! - Open up the fuel pump head and inspect it per cummins procedure 005-227 Fuel Pump Head(s) (Quickserve link here) - IF UPON INSPECTION YOU FIND DAMAGED COMPONENTS then extra steps may be needed (beyond fuel pump replacement) to ensure all debris is flushed out of the engine's oil passages. As far as recovering from a pump failure, Mr. Hagg's shop is considered to be the best. Here's a youtube playlist with fuel pump related videos.
