| RE: detroit 12.7 cam replacement The ceramic roller is way harder than the steel cam lobe. They just wipe the cam off. Nature of the beast along with whooped oil or high soot content oil cause a lot of this. Extended oil changes are a problem. You will need the cam gear puller/retainer tool and the proper depth/sweep injector gauge to set proper injector height. | |||
