RE: 07 cm870 metering/timing actuators/soleniods Just some thoughts on it ... If it does not have a boost gauge, then install one. CM8780's are notorious for boost issues as the turbo arm/ controller starts to get sticky on them. If the boost is falling off or acting up, that could explain the smoke, etc. A 530HP CM870 should be roughly about 37 - 38 psi (38 max) boost sustained under full 100% steady operating load, optimally. Run the overhead valve adjustment on it and then do an injector leak test on it after its warmed up, and has acted up a bit. ref: http://rawze.com/forums/showthread.php?t...8#pid67948 Also, actuators can be checked as well: ref: http://rawze.com/forums/showthread.php?t...619#pid619 User's Signature: ->: What I post is just my own thoughts and Opinions! --- I AM Full Of S__T!. | |||
